Live Review: WATCH: Trentemoller 'Never Stop Running' ft. Jonny Pierce (The Drums)
Trentemoller has returned with a deeply moving track called 'Never Stop running' that borrows the vocals of The Drums' Jonny Pierce.
TRENTEMOLLER is a rare artist, one of these unique musicians that just adds in a little bit of a deeper meaning to his tracks. He is known to have a 'captivating complexity' in his music that you don't usually find on the circuit these days.
It was an exciting day when TRENTEMOLLER released his first album The Last Resort back in 2006, now here in 2013, the producer has collaborated with one of the most eclectic frontmen of the past few years on a track that delves deep into an issue we've all had with ourselves from time to time.
'Never Stop Running' is a track that explores the running insecurity of one's own identity. The lyrics that Jonny Pierce, of THE DRUMS fame, chimes during the track "I don't know who I am," pretty much sums up the idea behind the track itself.
It warms your heart with it's droplets of synths that open the track before breaking out into a very interesting wail of synths that sway over a very gurgly beat. A bit of an eerie chime also emulates the track and brings it all together with Pierce's wonderful vocals. The whole composition is wonderful and you can't really find anything like this if you look.

The video for the track is even more interesting as it captures the song's essence perfectly. Directed by Frederik Jacobi, 'Never Stop Running' was filmed in LA and focus on the question 'who am I?' The images of Los Angeles people just expressing themselves in a way that just suits the song oddly well, just takes you into a world where you do think back and soon wonder who you are yourself. It would be even crazier if you hadn't actually thought about it in a really long time, because some things you may not have realised may come to light.
'Never Stop Running' is the first single taken from TRENTEMOLLER's new album Lost which will be released on September 27 through his own label In My Room. The album is apparently the Danish musician's best work yet, so we can expect some big things once Lost is released.
