Live Review: LISTEN: Haim 'The Wire'

Californian sisters Haim have finished recording their debut album and released a new track called 'The Wire'.

With this trio taking over the musical world, its not surprising that the release of their debut album has been delayed quite a long time. With all of their touring around; shows at festivals like Splendour In The Grass, DJ sets at awesome parties and of course their awesome headline shows, all is finally done as the girls actually finished recording their debut album in not too long ago.

HAIM have a wonderful range when it comes to their vocals from being able to go from a really high pitch down to a low hung sound, the girls have mastered it all and you can hear it in their new track that HAIM posted on Soundcloud 'The Wire'. Every effort that the girls seem to release just gets better and better, 'The Wire' shows a strong power with holding back with the simple melodies and the fun beat that bounces through the track.

All of the girls have a round of vocals in this track, it doesn't say it anywhere but hearing the voice change very clearly in the track shows you that all of the girls of HAIM have wonderfully strong voices. It must run in the family.

'The Wire' is already a crowd favourite and made an awesome live performance at Splendour, so it's only natural that this studio version would be a knock out as soon as it's released. HAIM have been known to draw influence from big names of the past like FLEETWOOD MAC and THE PRETENDERS, and this track really isn't any different. you can hear the similarities flowing through 'The Wire' however, HAIM still rock the track with their own flavour that everyone has fallen in love with.

There are no details on the debut LP just yet, as of course HAIM are still on the move. Hopefully more information will come to light soon as these sisters continue to rock pretty much everyone's boat (not even kidding, I heard an older man playing 'Don't Save me' very loud on the bus the other day) as they pretty much take over.
