Live Review: LISTEN: Clubfeet 'Remind Me' (Royksopp Cover)
Melbourne indie group Clubfeet release free download of Remind Me (Röyksopp Cover).
Aussie heartthrobs CLUBFEET have given us a present in the form of a free download of their latest track, a cover of Röyksopp's 2001 tune 'REMIND ME' from the classic downtempo trip-hop album Melody A.M.
This morning, whilst I was making breakfast I found myself vibing and head-nodding around my kitchen when I noticed that I had this track playing from my computer. So yeah good job CLUBFEET for making me burn my coffee.
The cover, 'REMIND ME' is a very focused take on the original, a re-imagining of a track originally composed by two electronic producers reconstructed into a live band setting. The result is very satisfying, synths and arpeggios are a-plenty, driven by a live drum kit, all pushed along by smooth vocals which are eventually doubled with a robotic vocoder. A perfect rendition most suited to either driving at night through the city, or simply vibing out at home - something which I'm doing right now.

The track comes not too far after the release of their latest album Heirs & Graces which featured the killer single Cape Town. Since then the boys have just concluded a very busy run playing a handful of shows around Australia. Keep up the hard work fellas!
