With the release of their latest album Modern Vampires of The City, VAMPIRE WEEKEND have released a series of videos for some of their most popular tracks.

‘Ya Hey’ has a very interesting theme of champagne bottles and white sheets, and a lyric video for ‘Step’ soon after a video of ‘Diane Young’ surfaced. The first video for ‘Diane Young’ was interesting, mainly because not much really happened. The video featured a car up in flames and that’s it. That’s all it was.

We all obviously thought it was a bit confusing having just that as a music video; maybe they went for a more artistic video? But then of course we have now found that it wasn’t actually the final video. The final video is actually thoroughly entertaining and we know you’ll love it.

The first shot of the video is probably my favourite as it resembles the last supper, with a man in a mask texting in the center rather than Jesus. The reason I find it funny, because everyone at the supper looks odd, and lead guitarist Rostam Batmanglij standing up the back looking as suave as ever. Bassist Chris Baio also has a bit of (I’m sorry but I have to say it just because he has it) swagger with his Ray Bans and mini cup of tea.

Then of curse SKY FERRIERA blows a bubblegum bubble in your face and suddenly you have to jump back and double check if it’s actually her. Yes, it actually is. If you look closely you’ll also find CHROMEO just chilling with the VAMPIRE WEEKEND boys as well, so many friends these boys have!

Then the supper obviously turns into a massive party, which looks completely rad! Baio has fruit on his face and the guy in the mask just keeps texting away, which is when you scream MOVE DANG IT! Baio then makes out with a coffee machine and then you know you’ve got a VAMPIRE WEEKEND video worth watching, when a bass player makes out with an appliance.
