Although SHLOHMO's latest EP, Laid Out, was released early March this year - we're still seeing the effects it left on the world today. So that's why it's not that weird that we finally have a clip for one of the EP's tracks.

The clip is for an EP highlight and all round croon-filled, 'Don't Say No'. Which features the vocal strings of Tom Krell, better known as How To Dress Well. His collaboration with the LA producer resulted in one of the most spine-tingling R&B influenced beats tracks we've heard in a long long time. Although it's quite minimal at times, it demonstrates the pure talent these two have, as they make the most of all the extra room in the track and turn it into one emotionally charged creation.

It's not the kind of beats we're used to in general, let alone from a producer that prides himself on creating some of the wonky-est and dynamic beats around. So once again, it's not that surprising that the new accompanying video, directed by Canadian based, Video Marsh, is something we're not used to seeing either.

The clip is extremely close to the content the track covers. Whilst Krell seems to struggle through a deep burn as he hits each slightly falsetto-d note, he is washed out with colours of Red, Yellow and Blue - almost representing the ideas of Blood, bile and tears - to the point where he can barely be seen at times.

It's an extremely simple concept, but as aforementioned, its not that complex of a track. In saying this, it's the kind of track that  demonstrates a deeper meaning and its the kind of clip that brings out that raw emotion. And therefore, it's bloody good.
