Shit Robot helped celebrate DFA's 12th birthday at their New York party! Here's his live performance of brand new single, 'Feels Real'.

SHIT ROBOT DFA

Not long ago, we featured SHIT ROBOT's new track 'Feels Real'. We also dug through the past decade to produce a flashback piece on DFA Records. So as you could imagine, we got a bit excited upon viewing Shit Robot perform his new track at DFA's 12th birthday party!

Presented by the Red Bull Music Academy, the party was held at New York's Grand Prospect Hall on 25th May. With a massive DFA lightning bolt facing the crowd on either side of the stage, Shit Robot customised what was left of the space by adorning his backdrop with his own visuals.

Accompanied by a dancey Luke Jenner of The Rapture on vocals, and a faceless, fluorescent-lit robot mask for his face, Shit Robot pushed out 'Feels Real' to the packed out room in the most fun way possible, thanks to the impressive high notes of Jenner and the work of Marcus Lambkin - the Robot himself. Scurrying through the darkness of the crowd, you can tell their audience enjoyed the show due to their moving bodies and expressive faces.

A producer whose name sits comfortably on the DFA roster, Shit Robot was right in his element for the 12 Years of DFA party. The night was further celebrated through the like-minded sounds of other DFA artists and friends, such as LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy and Nancy Whang performing separate sets, The Crystal ArkYachtTim SweenyFactory FloorBlack Dice and many more!
