This time around Dizzy Womack is heading down a more house-oriented road, with his return to Top Billin' and a brand new EP - entitled, Black Ice.

We're not 100% sure DIZZY WOMACK went with that for his new alias (he was formally known as DJ Dizzy, for those playing at home), because we're pretty certain that none of his works sound like Dizzy Rascal or Bobby Womack. But regardless, we're still pretty psyched about his brand new EP.

The Womack on the end of his name relates directly to the matured nature of this Austrian producer. He made a name for himself under the moniker of DJ Dizzy, with which he gained support from from luminaries such as Diplo and Drop The Lime with his backward bass-heavy productions. This time around he's heading down a more house-oriented road, with his return to Top Billin' and a brand new EP - entitled, Black Ice.

This new metamorphose towards his productions shouldn't come as much of a shock to anyone who has been following Womack from the start, as he's always had a history in playing around within different genres. His previous works, although Bass driven, ranged all the way from idm to tropical vibes and beyond.

Throughout Black Ice, it seems like he is now finding his golden mean, with a more sophisticated, groove oriented club sound, including house, bass and hip-hop elements. Here at PURPLE SNEAKERS we're happy that such a talented bass producer is exploring new alleys, all whilst keeping that genuine influence and quality from his early days in there.

Remixes come form the long time Top Billin fam member Raziek, who adds some R&B charm to the 'Black Ice' original as well as the UK/Ghana based duo The Busy Twist (Soundway Records), who turned 'On Control' into a percussive tropical roller.
