'Treat Me Right' (product of Toronto-based trio KEYS N KRATES) was premiered on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 Dance programme earlier this year. In a few short weeks, it’s four unique drops and distinctive composition have managed to cause global rumblings and featured in the sets of dance music’s most beloved tastemakers like

DIPLO and TNGHT have made the track a centerpiece of their sets at the world’s best and biggest parties.

The threesome have now released an official video for 'Treat Me Right on Potato Will Eat You – a Youtube channel curated by golden triad DIPLO, SKRILLEX and A-TRAK. Officially, it’s described as “an epic trip through space, time, and romance novels” and borrows from the “beautifully rendered (yet often ridiculous) world of vintage romance novel cover art”.

That’s right: the video begins with dusty, dogeared Mills & Boon heroines swooning into the arms of their tall, dark and handsome counterparts, imploring them to 'Treat Me Right' as they’re spinning through space. By the end of the video they’ve given up on their romantic disillusions in favour of wrestling sharks, fighting bulls and shooting from the hip.

Literally.

The concept may sound ridiculous, but it’s excellent analogy for KNK: the old, wrapped up in the new. The group comprises of turntablist Jr. Flo, drummer Adam Tune and David Matisse on synth. Their music is recorded live and performed live, eradicating the likelihood of computer-centric performances – they’re currently credited with “reinventing the remix” – and earning them high praise for their stage performance. Last year they played Ultra Music Festival; in 2013 they played SXSW.

Their new EP Solow is being released on DIM MAK RECORDS this year.
