FRACTURES is the identity of vocalist and multi-instrumentalist MARK ZITO. The incredible artist born from studio experimentation continues to hover in the unknown as his gentle vocals, which inspire this ambient and electronically fuelled track ‘Twisted’ radiate from a darkened room in which ZITO is displayed with under lit shadows cast upon his face.
FRACTURES’ fragile voice is starkly juxtaposed with bold tones to create an intense, atmospheric number, which effectively explores the unique sounds and styles that have driven MARK ZITO to output a track that allows both visual and auditory stimulation. The haunting sequence of this melody supports the sober yet emotional lyrics, which weave throughout this musically innovative creation confessing distorted feelings of loneliness.
The accompanying video is a combined effort, as ZITO teamed up with director STUART BAYNES for the song’s film clip which focuses on the movements of a yearning redhead as she runs towards a constantly blurred and stationary figure who never nears in distance, creating the idea of illusion. The precise arrangements of both the musical and visual aspects of this track are cleverly designed to allow the song to build to various climaxes each with an intense undercurrent.

The most exciting news however is that FRACTURES will be playing his first headlining show on Thursday the 20th of June at The Toff in Town, Melbourne, giving the people of this vibrant city a chance to enjoy this song for themselves as they twist to it intrepid and enticing sound.
