Live Review: LISTEN: Disclosure 'You & Me' (Baauer Remix)

BAAUER has been doing some good stuff since his worldwide #1 single 'Harlam Shake' took the internet by storm recently, creating a string of big-room yet tasteful high profile remixes serving to demonstrate he's not content with just pandering to the crowd.

Following up on a great adaptation of ALUNAGEORGE's 'Attracting Flies' (check that one out below), the North American star producer has delivered for DISCLOSURE's 'You & Me' what I feel confident describing as a healthy natural departure from the 'Electro-Trap' sound he put on the world stage with his aforementioned hit.

The track sort of more closely resembles a 'Drum & Bass' style with rhythmic intervals carved out of the chorus, creating a very dynamic 'stop-start' effect.

Don't get me wrong, this is definitely one for the festival crowd (not always a bad thing) but it's great to see a producer who has achieved so much success with a certain sound having the confidence and foresight to steer away from mediocrity and try something new.

Baauer has just completed a slew of successful dates in Australia & New Zealand (which according to his schedule saw him play in both countries on the one day) and is now back in the states to honour what looks like a crazy schedule, more info on his upcoming shows HERE.
