Franz Ferdinand Announce New Album

Well do ya? Do ya, do ya wanna, wanna know about FRANZ FERDINAND's forthcoming record? That's right! The Glasgow outfit are back and just as musically daring with the release of their fourth studio album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action due at the end of August this year!

Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action is the band's first record since their 2009 release Tonight. Judging from what we've been told, the band are just as bold and eccentric in this album as they have creatively been with their previous work, as it is far from predictable, boring and safe. When asked to give a description of the new record, frontman Alex Kapranos responded with "The Intellect vs. The Soul, played out by some dumb band." Clearly modest.

The band have released a short album teaser, that includes all members waking up with what appears to be either an epiphany or the realisation that the dream they were having was in fact real.. Either way, it features a short snippet of the sound we can expect of the new album, through the short deliverance of the record's sung title.

Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action was recorded over the previous year at both Alex Kapranos' Scottish studio and Nick McCarthy's Sausage Studios based in London.

The album will be available on Friday, 23rd August through Domino Records!
