THE NATIONAL are coming back from their brief break to bring us their new album Trouble Will Find Me, and now great news has finally reached us! The band have released their first track from the album called ‘Demons’ and its typical brilliance from the brooding boys.
The track has its thundering drums leading the deep, moody vocals and small harmonies pop in and out as the track flows through the first verse. The lyrics are pretty interesting too with lines like, “I’m going through an awkward phase,” THE NATIONAL have released the perfect introduction to Trouble Will Find Me and there is a pretty rad video to go with it.

The video is a simple time lapse of an artist sketching a pretty beautiful drawing on a chalkboard, and watching him go you get pretty amazed by the guys talent. The mirror filter on the video is a pretty interesting concept as well, considering the singles cover. The cover is a girl with half her head underneath a mirror, and so the use of the mirror filter in the video is an interesting decision, but a nice one.
The end product of the sketch is really nice too, but I won’t reveal that because that would ruin the surprise.
