Perth boys POND recently decided to drop a cover of their favourite footy team the Fremantle Dockers' Theme Song.

Now there’s no point in lying, I straight up do not like football, or any sports for that matter  - Insert questioning into the level of my ‘strayan-ness here -

The difference between myself and others who find themselves anti-sports inclined is that I can very much appreciate the passion many have for the game. So instead of posting a clever and wholly original Facebook status on grand final day (something along the lines of “yay football”) I just prefer to leave you all to your own devices.

On the topic of passion for Australia’s favourite game, Perth boys POND have recently decided their love for their team the Fremantle Dockers had reached the point of overflow. An overflow which led to nothing other than a POND rendition of the much loved “Freo Heave Ho” AFL theme song. The revised version on behalf of the band sees some clever additions to the already pretty dark theme of the song.

Members of POND as well as TAME IMPALA, Jay Watson and Nick Albrook aren’t shy about their support for the dockers, and therefore have been pinpointed as the masterminds behind the song which was recently uploaded on Watson’s Facebook/ Soundcloud, accompanied by the caption “FUTURE PREMIERS.”

Team spirit rocks, and when it sounds this good even I’ll get behind it.
