Paris has a history of blissful electronica in it's locals, and today we bring you one that keeps Paris to that name. Welcome to the House Of Melancholy - brought to you by ACID WASHED.

Known to their friends and family as Andrew Claristidge and Richard D’Alpert, Acid Washed are a Parisian duo content with creating melancholic beats infused with soulful loops and vocals. And if their new single, 'Fire N' Rain' is anything to go by, we're going to be pretty content with it too.

It's the first taste from their aptly named sophomore LP, House Of Melancholy, which has been produced by another French master of dance and Purple Sneakers favourite - Joakim. The legendary producers touch can be felt almost immediately on 'Fire N' Rain', this Lo-Fi house track drifts beautifully through it's 5 minute life-span. It's tribal yet minimal beat matches perfectly with the looping nature of the synths - before it blasts into a funk driven 80's nostalgia trip.

This dark take on dance is the perfect track to build the mood in any taste-making set, so keep track of your favourite DJs to see if it's be dropped in the near future.

Acid Washed’s new album, House Of Melancholy, arrives on May 13th - through Record Makers.
