Norwegian band YOUNG DREAMS have just released the clip to their second single 'First Days Of Something' that comes from their very recently released debut album Between Places.

Directed by Kristoffer Borgli, this is not your average music video. In fact, it could easily be a Tropfest entry towards the theme of earphones, possibly even fairy lights. We're introduced to the forthcoming events by being led through the aisles of a glum supermarket whilst listening to the conversation between the guy in the frame telling his man friend of his plans to be with his distant other half in Australia.

Walking through the cold of Norway, he flicks past tracks on his mp3 until he gets to 'First Days Of Something'. This becomes the soundtrack to his life - literally.

"I've got this song that I want to listen to. I feel like if I listen to that everyday, then that will connect the song with how I'm feeling. Just to get it, in there, stuck in my brain. It's a source of inspiration for years to come."

From here on in, we watch as everything crumbles in this dude's life. But it's pretty much a case of soul destroying self-infliction. He's plugged into the tune on repeat everywhere he goes. Longing for something more than where he's currently at, he isolates himself from personal relationships. He also gets pissed off really easily about the tiniest of things; such as playing tennis and gaining a broken wrist from punching a wall after his friend turned his song off at a party.

He initially flirts with the idea of this pipe-dream, major relocation, yet soon becomes infatuated. All I will say is palm trees, you'll understand if you watch the clip! Although it's quite a sad tale about a broken man, it's also holds some pretty funny undertones.

Putting this excellent film clip aside, the track is just a tease of what YOUNG DREAMSBetween Places is made up of. Consisting of charming lyricism and ethereal instrumentation, 'First Days Of Something' closes in quite an orchestral manner, proving to be just one transcendent snippet of the floaty yet powerful album.
