The most in demand band in the world right now ALT-J have just announced another, yes ANOTHER Australian Tour making it their third tour here in the past 9 months.

The British boys will be back in July to play their largest shows to date and their first show ever in our lovely Perth, so Perth-ians get on this! ALT-J obviously love Australia and that love is definitely mutual, as the Mercury Prize winners have received such a wide fan base after the release of their debut An Awesome Wave.

ARIA has named An Awesome Wave gold, and received it highest chart ranking on the ARIA charts than anywhere else in the world! Of course many Australian bands would be on that chart, but what isn’t surprising is that ALT-J have actually surpassed a lot of our Aussie acts by taking the number nine spot on the chart earlier this year.

I have no doubt that the boys will climb higher as their tracks have almost constant airplay on Triple J, and as many Triple J fans may already know, ALT-J made three appearances on the Hottest 100 of 2012 with one of them, their track ‘Beezleblocks’ actually coming in third place.ALT-J recently featured on the Laneway Festival circuit as well and their audience was one of the biggest for the festival with everybody screaming and singing along as ALT-J played their set.

Okay, so you’ve pretty much heard me tell you about how much ALT-J have done in Australia since releasing their debut album, but what I’m really here to tell you about is their new tour so let’s get onto that shall we? Now their last tour they did here sold out in minutes, so once you’ve seen the date of their coming to your city, I suggest you don’t hesitate in buying a ticket or else you’ll be sitting in the corner of your room chewing on your pillow listening to An Awesome Wave and screaming, “wwwwwhhhhyyy.”

Unfortunately, those of you living in Adelaide and Brisbane, we miss out on this round but knowing the boys, they’ll be back soon so keep an eye out for them!
