Well we never really need an excuse to get wonky on a weekday afternoon here at Purple Sneakers HQ, here are two tidy little remixes from BRODINSKI BLUE VERSION. They're certainly helping us get there.

What is to be said about the BRODINSKI remix? Neat, trappy, snappy and too the point; this version takes a much more chilled approach than that of the frenchman's previous work , chugging along at half time before dropping into a beautiful four on the floor house beat.

The Vancouver local BLUE VERSION is still pretty new to the scene and would be scene as pretty underground for music lovers in Australia, but his latest re-working of WOODKID's latest single, 'I Love You' is something that you'd expect from his peers that have been doing this for years. It's first bloody class if you ask us.

As you should know, the original is an incredibly dark track, one that follows a deep and personal story - with some seriously impressive rising synths and tribal rhythms. Blue Version has taken away the dark elements of the track, stripping it all back and revealing a very angelic and atmospheric version. It keeps those rising synths and church gospel themes, but infuses them with strong bass beats and swirls of distortion - before cutting it all up and messing with the tribal percussion.

Although it's pretty obvious this has come from another track, it doesn't feel like a remix or a rework or even a bootleg. This track has a life of it's own - and it's one you'll want to have on repeat for a while to come.

Oh, it's also free to download. Cool beans.
