27 February 2013 | 2:33 pm | Hannah Galvin

Flume's gearing up to take off on his Infinity Prism Tour! Joined by his buddy Chet Faker, it's sure to be swell. Wanna go? We have a double pass!

I'm not even going to bother introducing FLUME to you. I'm sure even your grandmothers know who the young producer is. What I will let you know is that his first ever headline tour is coming up, and we want to get you and your personally selected gig buddy there!

Kicking off in April and finishing up in May, the Infinity Prism Tour has been scheduled to happen in between Flume's Groovin The Moo sets around Australia.

"Infinity Prism" wasn't just a couple of words pulled out of thin air that Flume and Future Classic thought sounded cool. It's a title that pays homage to the purpley, hazey, kaleidoscopic album cover of the artist's debut record.

To bring this hypnotic effect to life, the tour will be accompanied by a hexagonal infinity mirror that has been embedded with LED lights. With this amongst the extended set, prepare to see Flume in a way you've never seen him before!

Check out a little teaser vid of this sweet piece of equipment.

Not only the live shows, this device will also star in a forthcoming trilogy of film clips. It kind of reminds me of the Continuum Transfunctioner. Continuum TransFlumetioner perhaps? Duuuuuude.

On top of all this, the beautifully bearded CHET FAKER will also be joining the tour. I feel that "joining" is a much more suited verb than "supporting" as the popularity he's gained in his music career is far too great. With the release of his Thinking In Textures EP and his massive exposure on the 30 second Beck's advertisement that was aired at the Superbowl, he's kind of becoming more and more of a big deal.

If you're a subscriber of Flume's newsletter, you would have found the codeword to the presale land in your inbox on Tuesday. Otherwise, tickets go on sale to everyone Friday, 1st March.

So if you've got the time and money to sit at your computer, counting down the seconds to 10AM in order to secure a ticket, be my guest! Otherwise..
