Live Review: WATCH: Nantes 'Avid' (Official Video)
With the upcoming release of their debut, Nantes have not only released the track, but also the clip to their brand new single 'Avid'.
North-west Sydney boys, NANTES have been hard at work over the past year with the creation of their upcoming debut LP, Beingsbeing. Due for release on the 15th of March, the boys have already prepared tour dates for March with Battleships.
As one of the songs being featured on their upcoming release, ‘Avid’ has set the bar pretty high. Video game tones from the instrumental aspect combine with the divine vocals of vocalist David Rogers to create this technicolour piece.

A VHS collective in the form of a televised memoir has set the bar for the video. Already, we see a montage of childhood home videos. Progressively, the videos age slightly. We come to commercialism, and some rather important Hollywood icons, with Elvis Presley making an appearance.
This video feels rather comforting, I know for one that I grew up watching VHS, and it’s nice to see that old techniques never die. This collective of montage after montage of media footage syncs quite appropriately with the supporting footage of the band playing.
