...shit is going to go down in a real way in this clip. And hence, the Kendrick Lamar motif of extravagance continues.

You know that when a video starts with "All characters in this visual are entirely fictional. The events that occur are purely symbolic and should not be taken literal." shit is going to go down in a real way. And hence, the KENDRICK LAMAR bandwagon of extravagance and popularity continues.

This time it's in the form of a brand new clip for 'Poetic Justice' (featuring Drake) from his already massive good kid, m.A.A.d city album. It's a pretty typical format for a song of this nature, a deep and meaningful tale of something bad that may or may not have happened in reality... Look, I haven't read that much into the lyrics, so sue me.

The clip follows what seems to be a drive-by shooting of two people at a street gathering, one of which Lamar himself (possibly gang related, who knows?). It's then found out that the shooting may be a revenge attack on a cheating girl or perhaps a relationship past. Overall, it's a pretty ambiguous narrative - yet sadly, it doesn't seem to do much for the audience.

It'ss a classic over-indulgent, over-produced, over-HD, way too Wide-Screen, Hip-Hop video and to me - it comes across more boring than in-depth. But let's be honest, you're not going to listen to me anyway. Why not watch it for yourself?

In my opinion, this guy got it right in the YouTube comments: "Music Videos suck ass these days, Back in the day music videos actually had to do something with the video. now its just a bunch of gay as shit put together with missed calls from drake wtf" - Robert Williams
