For a complete hour, Flight Facilities have chronologically comprised a mix-up that reflects on the decade of fluorescent attire, analog synths and an outburst of genres.

Within this sonic timeline, you'll hear the progression of how music panned out throughout the 80s up until the early 90s.

Tracks featured in this mix include The Clash's ‘Rock The Casbah’, Bananarama's ‘Cruel Summer’, ‘West End Girls’ by Pet Shop Boys and David Bowie's ‘Magic Dance’.

Not only are we treated with the music of this era, Flight Facilities have also incorporated samples of news stories that focus on major events of the time.

Leading the consistent beat of the mix-up, you'll hear reports on the Cold War, Marvin Gaye's tragic death and the introduction of Apple to Macintosh, amongst many other happenings from the years of 1982-1992.

Without telling you too much of the contents, Flight Facilities have requested that you leave a timed comment on the Soundcloud upload for every significant event, original track, unlisted cuts of songs that they've snuck in and samples of tracks that have been used in modern songs that you can recognise.

You can also check out their first installment for these Triple J Mix-Up Exclusives as they've previously done the exact same thing for the years of 1972-1982!
