Live Review: Big Boi Ditches Little Dragon for Kelly Roland On 'Mama Told Me'?

Aside from being a pretty sweet track, with a pop hook you'd dream about - and could we expect any less from one half of hip-hop legends OUTKAST - the controversy surrounding 'Mama Told Me' certainly makes for good industry gossip.

The 'controversy' herein is the fact that the track originally featured Indie sweetheart and Swedish electro-pop princess LITTLE DRAGON. It now features a woman who belonged to one of the biggest (certainly, in commercial terms) pop outfits of the last decade, DESTINY'S CHILD. For the sake of sales mayhaps? Eek, this is awkward.

Adding fuel to to the proverbial fire is the crucial twist that it was in fact Yukimi Nagano, aka. LITTLE DRAGON, who wrote the hook that is so juicy good.

Ah well, thems the breaks in the cut-throat music industry apparently. And besides, LITTLE DRAGON still appears as a guest on the upcoming long-player, as do the likes of LUDACRIS, KID CUDI and B.o.B, so all's well that ends well.

BIG BOI originally announced the release of Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors for November 13, a date which has since been pushed back to December 11.
