Purple Sneakers DJs have gone and remixed up and coming (and Purple Sneakers favourites) Sydney duo, Olympic Ayres latest single – ‘The View’.

We know that we love the maniacs behind the PURPLE SNEAKERS DJS. And we know that you love the guys behind PSDJs – so it’d be pretty obvious that we’re going to bring you’re their new creation. Why? Because you’ll love it of course!

This time PhDJ and Randall Stagg have gone and remixed up and coming (and Purple Sneakers favourites) Sydney duo, Olympic Ayres latest single – ‘The View’. We’re pretty huge fans of it and we were going to have a go at describing it, but we decided to let the boys themselves have a go at doing our job. This is what they came up with:

“So our buddies Olympic Ayres asked us to put the PSDJs touch on their track 'The View'. Not only did we touch it, we simply caressed the shit outta it. As you already know we are pretty eclectic producers. So we were like - we hear this 'house' thing is kinda big right now? Haven't made a house track yet... Why not give that a shot?”

And they certainly did create a house track, but not one of those ones that would probably feature on a Swedish House Mafia mixtape – rather one that will keep you dancing far past its closing. Basically, it takes the tropical and bright vibes of the original and messes it around in some swirling synths. Drop in some pulsating beats to back the remix and you have a melancholic house creation. We’re not sure if that’s a thing, but we’re sticking with it.

Oh, and since the guys have released it to the public as a free download. Expect it to come up in many a DJ mix at Discovery, CANT SAY or wherever else sweet tunes are dropping in the very near future.

If you want to catch Purple Sneakers DJs in the flesh sooner rather than later, then get your butts down to The Early Hours in Melbourne where they’ll be supporting Flume for their New Years Eve celebrations . Before playing at Melbourne's Summadayze and then flying back up to Sydney to play alongside Olympic Ayres at 2013’s Field Day festivities in Domain Park on New Years Day.
