Wonderland Festival 2013 Lineup Announced

Whenever you start the year anew, do you tend to question what you’d like to change about the next 365 days when compared to the previous year? Let me guess, you always find yourself being the exact same person with no sense of substantial change whatsoever. Well, don’t fret, the music scene is always here to help you!

You may not find Alice, but Western Australia’s Wonderland Festival wants you to come and hang out anyway. Founded in 2011, Wonderland has been described as “a boutique music festival for you to lose your shit at.” Sounds alright? Well it gets better.

The team have put together a pretty sweet lineup to welcome 2013, if we make it past the apocalypse that is. The bill features live sets from PNAU, Bag Raiders, Flume, Tim and Jean, Grafton Primary, Alison Wonderland, Elizabeth Rose, What So Not, CANT SAY residents Indian Summer DJs and Shy Panther as well as some fresh, local talent.

A festival can’t be called “Wonderland” without any fun and exciting enchantments. The festival has teamed up with DSB – known for their party throwing skills – as they have collaboratively designed the idea of the Rabbit Hole stage. It is here where you will see nothing as you dance around with some headphones strapped to your head. Why? Because it’s a silent disco in a pitch-black tent!

So ignore the fact that New Years Day is annual hangover day and get yourself to the beautiful Belvoir Amphitheater in order for the opening of 2013 to be as mad as a hatter.

Before you start dwelling about how much these tickets are going to set you back, I’ll have you know that the first allocation is free. As in zero dollars. Nothing! What? Just don’t question it.

Having said that though, you’ve got to be quick! Make sure you hop on to either Ticketmaster or wonderlandnyd.com at 9am next Monday, 15th October. Ticket prices will increase in ten dollar increments at each allocation.
