Named after the horror film of the same name, the Irish band from Dublin formed in 1983 and have released two albums: Isn’t Anything and Loveless. My Bloody Valentine's music evolved, their use of distortion, pitch bending, and digital reverb resulted in a sound that came to be known as Shoegazing. Beautifully crafted music they perform with music with layered, inverted thickness that makes harsh sounds soft and fragile moments vast. A unique trait the band has acclaimed to and has driven them with great passion.

Following Loveless, My Bloody Valentine became inactive, with Shields recording and shelving several albums' worth of follow-up material. In mid-2007, Shields announced that the band had reunited and were working on new material. Now they back to showcase their talent, armed with their instruments, fuelled with muse and vision to take on the world.

Featuring Kevin Shields along with Bilinda Butcher, Debbie Googe and co-founder Colm Ó Cíosóig, My Bloody Valentine's return to Australia will bring with it both a psychedelic inspired sound and harmonious drone for the long awaited audiences. Legions of fans that have waited the best part of their lives for the return of one of the most thrilling guitar bands of the previous century and will be submerged in vast sonic landscape that My Bloody Valentine will paint for the shows.
