Live Review: LISTEN: Frank Ocean ‘Blue Whale’
It's hard to find someone who would tell you that they don’t enjoy the sweet vocals that Frank Ocean but how does he stack up when he lays down a rap track?
It is hard to find someone who would tell you that they don’t enjoy the sweet vocals that FRANK OCEAN has been pumping out in the last twelve months but how does the LA crooner hold up when he lays down a chill out rap track?
The soulful singer and ever rising star dropped the tune BLUE WHALE on his tumblr with no added description but it really isn’t in need of one, the track is chill out and thrives of its repetitive smooth tropical beat and simply but emotive keys. Franks rhymes are smooth and personal and flow pretty well and with the added bonus of some very personal lines on track it really stands out for a B side, the insanely simple but chill out beat behind him is perfect and is just like any other FRANK OCEAN track when it comes to it being easy to listen to.

The track does stand out from Franks recent work stylistically but in not in a bad way at all, the man kills it on this track. Simple production and rhymes that come from the heart delivered with such a cool composure make this track a real pleasure to listen to. There is no doubt that whatever the ever rising star that is FRANK OCEAN puts his mind to turns into something amazing and only increases our expectations of what he can produces.
