What do you get when you put indie songstress Bertie Blackman in a room with Quan Yeomans of Regurgitator and Celeste Potter of Ouch My Face?

What do you get when you place indie songstress BERTIE BLACKMAN in a room with Quan Yeomans of REGURGITATOR and Celeste Potter of OUCH MY FACE?

BERTIE BLACKMAN has released the music video for her single ‘Boy’ which has been animated and directed by her fellow musicians, so obviously putting these guys in a room was the best decision ever!

The video features a man which looks like he’s been cut from monotone coloured paper, and a loved-up couple which resemble a pair of old bowling pins. The video begins with the paper man emerging from his dull home into a deserted town which is inhabited by tall, one-eyed monsters. The man picks up a shard of what looks like glass and suddenly we are transported into a world full of colour. The video is extraordinarily cute and Celeste Potter’s illustrations are the perfect fit for BERTIE BLACKMAN’s lovely up-beat new single.

‘Boy’ is the first single from BERTIE BLACKMAN’s new album Pope Innocent X which is due for release in stores and online on October 12 and this means that October is most definitely the month for new music. Pope Innocent X will be released alongside TAME IMPALA’s Lonerism, ELLIE GOULDING’s Halcyon and BAT FOR LASHES’ The Haunted Man, but there are aspects of the album that make it stand out from its fellow LP’s.

The album will display original hand drawn artwork from BERTIE BLACKMAN herself with an adorable sketch accompanying each song. So not only will the music be adored by your ears, but your eyes will also get a treat! There’s no arguing that the return of BERTIE BLACKMAN is going to be soothing all the senses.
