WATCH: Grimes on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

It’s finally happened! GRIMES aka Claire Boucher has had her US television debut on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon performing her song ‘Genesis’. After being around for quite a while and gathering quite a large following (including me), GRIMES has been thrust into the spotlight by one of the oddest people on television.

The performance was quite interesting. Although she was on a small stage, the singer stood on a pile of rose petals that matched her red kimono, whilst pink-tinged smoke burst into the air behind her.

As she sang with her melodic and uniquely high pitched voice, two dancers uh, danced behind her as well, twirling their hands and such. I’ve never seen dancing like that, and I’ve been doing it since I was four!

GRIMES sings with such purity and innocence which makes you suddenly feel relaxed and transports you into a very whimsical place. It’s surprising that she hasn’t been on television before!

Seeing GRIMES perform is mind-blowingly awesome-tastic, and so I suggest you see her play at the Meredith Music Festival in Meredith, Victoria on December 7, 8 and 9. GRIMES will be playing on the Friday night at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre, and this will be her first visit to Australia. Of course we all hope that there will be plenty more to come!
