WIN: Sures EP Launch Tour Double Passes

SURES manage to sound contemporary and retro all at once – they tip their hats to Scottish lads Django Django in psychedelia inclinations but you can also hear less than subtle influences from the 60s and 70s.

Suffice to say their songs would not be out of place at the Rydell High prom.

They have been making huge waves since their entrance onto the scene in 2011 with the richly textured radio fave 'Poseidon', and have played support slots for the likes of Best Coast and Wavves. They will be commencing their own headline tour off the back of the recently released Stars EP – kicking off the festivities at Good God in Sydney on June 28.

Hailing from the 'burbs of Sydney, the quartet gained exposure through Triple J's Unearthed, like many others before them. They have recently signed to Ivy League Records, who are unsurprisingly pumped to have on board the band with a minimum of 5 solid gold indie-surf-pop songs up their sleeves.

The title track of the Stars EP is a highlight, with its dreamy reverbed vocals, surfy guitar riffage and a fuzzy production that lends it a nostalgic quality.

Get onto the SURES bandwagon, sorry Bandcamp, now – you won't regret it.
