TOURING: Stonefield & Owl Eyes Winter Roadtrip

27 June 2012 | 12:33 pm | Staff Writer

Music can solve problems, so The Line ambassadors Owl Eyes & Stonefield have partnered to bring the message of equality to regional towns.

Music solves all problems; luckily Aussie acts OWL EYES and STONEFIELD know this so they will be pairing together on a national co-headlining WINTER ROADTRIP tour this August to promote and raise awareness to issues of equality and respect.

The partnership is one that has eventuated thanks to an Australian Government initiative known as THE LINE. THE LINE is an organisation dedicated to promoting respectful relationships amongst Australia’s youth and raises awareness about  everything from social responsibility and cyber-bullying to sexual harassment and inappropriate physical behaviour.

It is the first time these Wunderkind label sisters have toured together and both artists are excited about not only spreading The Line’s message via their music and performance, but also spending time on the road together through predominantly regional areas of Australia.

“I feel like out in the regional places they don’t always get a lot of live music or get an opportunity to get out to a lot of venues or anything like that so it will be nice to take our music and The Line’s message there and spread it around a bit. It will be quite special.” Owl Eyes

“It’s great to use music to help convey a message – especially a message about respect and just making people aware of it. One of the things I love about music is that you can help people and teach people about things.” Amy Findlay of Stonefield

Owl Eyes and Stonefield join a list that includes Pez, Maya Jupiter and Lisa Mitchell as musical ambassadors for The Line. The tour will begin on the first of April, check out the dates below.
