13 June 2012 | 3:00 pm | Staff Writer

Come Friday June 29 have your disco shoes preped as Softwar will be hitting up Nite Society, with support curated by Slow Motion Disco.

Start preparing yourselves for the next NITE SOCIETY showcase, coming to you Friday June  29.

Showcase number 2 will take you back to the future of D I S C O, featuring very special guests SOFTWAR (Syd), who will be taking the Society to an alternate groove dimension, with a bag of vinyls and a fistful of CDs.

Softwar is Sydney duo Myles Du Chateau & Jeremy Lloyd. These two young squires met in the whirlwind summer of 2005 - Myles was driving a school bus and Jeremy was working as a lollipop lady at the local primary school. Their eyes met over a red light and the rest, as they say, was all champagne and caviar.

They're particular brand of galactic dance starts at funk & soul and ends in Chicago techno - with a healthy dose of uplifting disco and glittery house in between. As a part of the premiere WARM agency in Europe (think Tensake, Horse Meat Disco, Tim Sweeney and Mock & Toof), Softwar has spent time remixing a number of major artists including Two Door Cinema Club, Groove Armada, The Temper Trap and Goldhawks.

Original track ‘Colour Flight’ featured on hipster label Kitsune and they have the 2nd ever release on Dj Kaos' new cult Label Jolly Jams coming out in November 2010. Softwar have played at some of the best Australian music festivals and club nights including Playground Weekender, We Love Sounds Festival and Future Classic Nights, plus they hold down their own monthly residency at the at the always impressive Slowblow parties - taking late night revelers and early morning risers on a cosmic moonlit carpet ride through oceans and valleys, fjords and forests.

NITE SOCIETY have also brought in local wizards the SLOW MOTION DISCO crew to curate the supporting acts for the event. So while you are prepping your future disco feet you can enjoy they sounds for LE'STACHE, THE GENTLEMAN, PRINCI, LESS THAN THREE and CELEBRITY SEX TAPE.
