Live Review: LISTEN: Bloods 'Goodnight'

Local indie-punksters BLOODS are the sum of Dirk, MC and Sweetie. In a similar vein to Dum Dum Girls and The Raveonettes, the Sydney-based three piece make trashy lo-fi garage-punk that sounds like it's been recorded on their mother's old tape-deck. And in the age of over-production and perfect pitch, this is indeed a refreshing change of pace.

Produced by Owen Penglis, their latest track 'Goodnight' exemplifies the group's vision. The band summed it up best themselves: "the track is an ode to first love, drunken house parties and unwanted boobie grabs". What more could one ask for?
