DJ PREQUEL as we know him, is quite simply the result of a record-buying addiction, a fear of hairdressers and a secret love affair between Dustin Hoffman and Robert De Niro. 

This culmination of elements turned out to be a good thing for those of us with ears, as Prequel entertains the creatures of the night all over Melbourne, seamlessly shifting between genres with a level of ease that most of us haven’t even garnered for simple tasks like brushing our teeth.

Having hit the decks at the likes of Splendour in the Grass, Parklife and Big Day Out, and after supporting De La Soul, MF DOOM, Gilles Peterson and OFWGKTA, Prequel continues to champion his unique blend of rare gems and original production that always leaves those lucky enough to be within earshot wanting more.

Despite all his success, Prequel is still fearful of hairdressers and any scissor like objects.
