Live Review: WATCH: King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard 'Bloody Ripper'

The seven piece monster that is KING GIZZARD & THE LIZARD WIZARD  have a wicked live show to say the least. And if by chance you couldn't make it to the Rozelle Hospital for The Insane last week, where they played a live show for their new single 'Bloody Ripper', you can now watch the gig from the comfort of your own home. But to be honest, comfort isn't something I'm really looking for when I'm listening to these guys. Their garagey, surf tunes make you want to jump up and throw some beer around; which seems to be exactly what was on the agenda in Rozelle.  With a motley crowd and an insane (get it?) amount of crowd surfing,  sweat, and exchange of bodily fluids, this gig was one I wish I was at. These guys are rad rad rad.

I can't decide what sound they're trying for: surf, garage, alternative, the list goes on. But I think that's kind of the point... that there is no point. These dudes jam out fried sounds just for the fuck of it because they can, and thank god they do. Thank god they do.
