They’ve packed out TWO RECENT HEADLINE SHOWS at Melbourne’s Hi Fi Bar and have a third on the way due to popular demand on June 22 (Buy tickets HERE).

With an affinity for the cutest of cute girls and armed with an arsenal of movie trivia, the guys get spacey as hell on this effort taking viewers on a journey through time and genre; showcasing everything from the Stanley Kubric classic 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) to scenes from the ABC TV series The Slap (2011). Here’s what they had to say about the creative process and stylistic themes behind the tape…
“So, we’ve been locked in the studio for a while working on new material: both music and video. Though the music won’t be out for a while, and not all of what’s in this volume is new, we wanted to make this episode reflect the way the new show is going to look. A little more drawn out, a little more intense. Still the same level of fun.
The loose theme here is teen romance. The awkwardness, the craziness, the new and the confusing. If you like this and live in Melbourne, come see the whole show at the HiFi. We’ve managed to remake most of the set with 1080p video, and also got our hands on a $75,000 projector (the kind that drives you home after you use it), as well as a cinema-size screen to make it look as good as possible.”
NAYSAYER AND GILSUN‘s brand new live show has been receiving praise from all angles; ToneDeaf.com.au described the atmosphere as “…rather like a scene from Brave New World, a massive crowd all gazing in an almost comatose wonder at the big screen.” FasterLouder.com.au were slighty more blunt about their experience, asserting that it was “One of the best video DJ sets witnessed by anyone ever.”
Check out heaps more videos from the duo HERE, ticketholders can catch them live at the final sold-out Groovin The Moo date in Bunbary, WA this Saturday (19/5).
