Entrancing; What at first sounds like a gothic Elvis floating through a cyberspace of 1’s and 0’s in a hot air balloon soon transmogrifies into a journey through the mainframe of JOHN MAUS' mind. A silhouette found sitting upon the universal horizon; flashes of an old black & white horror film flickers past my mind’s eye as time seems to stand still. While MAUS' pastel tones drag you deeper into his dream, a window opens to this wondrous place - a cerebral maze of lush green echoes forever shattering into trillions of beautiful emeralds and diamonds; that which lights the night sky; that which oozes from the crux of JOHN MAUS’ Mental Breakdown.

With close to twenty releases behind him, having played with the likes of Animal Collective, Ariel Pink and Panda Bear as well as holding a PHD in Political Philosophy, MAUS is a seriously interesting character.
