Japandroids' new album 'Celebration Rock' will be abso-fucking-lutely amazing if 'The House That Heaven Built' is anything to go by.

So it’s officially fair to say that JAPANDROIDS' new album Celebration Rock will be one of the most highly anticipated of the year. With reviews from Rolling Stone claiming it to be “one of the year’s most thrilling rock records;” JAPANDROIDS' combination of “pissed- drenched garage” (NME) and “rare punk poetry” (PITCHFORK) is getting critics and fans alike, really fucking excited.

The Vancouver two piece have just come off the back of their universally acclaimed debut album Post Nothing, and have upped the ante by about one hundred per-cent. The only track released from Celebration Rock so far is ‘The House That Heaven Built’, and already the reactions are astronomical.

With an incredible energy and lyrics that have you screaming along (including at the perfect moment a catchy “oh oh oh”), this record really has it all. The drums are intense and the guitar is a living dedication to what rock is all about. If ‘The House That Heaven Built’ is any indication of the standard of ‘Celebration Rock’, JAPANDROIDS will be one to look out for this year and most definitely in the years to come.

Inertia labels Celebration Rock as “8 tracks of DIY punk charm… impulsive, youthful exuberance,” which pins JAPANDROIDS' sound to a tee.

Celebration Rock is released on the 29th of June.
