WIN: Double Pass to Children Collide, Sydney

20 March 2012 | 6:00 pm | Staff Writer

Purple Sneakers have five double passes to give away to Children Collide's show at the Metro Theatre, Sydney, on Saturday 24 March.

With anthems like ‘Social Currency’, ‘Farewell Rocketship’, and ‘Jellylegs’, you’d have had to be living in a bomb shelter and living off cans of recalled cat food for the past four years to not have heard of and subsequently loved Melbourne's CHILDREN COLLIDE.

Having appeared beside acts like Does It Offend You, Yeah? at the Coaster Music Festival, and gained such honours as The Long Now's 90th place in Triple J's Hottest 100 Australian Albums of All Time, Children Collide seem poised to be Australia's premier rock band.

The first single from their latest album Monument, 'Sword to a Gunfight' is accompanied by a dark and deeply disturbing music video which has received wide acclaim.

In February, however, Children Collide's drummer, Ryan Caesar, announced his departure from the band. Their current Sword Takes Hold tour will be Caesar's last and, accordingly, will be your final chance to witness the wild energy of a Children Collide live show with the lineup from The Long Now.
