Live Review: WATCH: Kimbra 'Settle Down' Live at SXSW

Some Americans just got their socks blown off. They're now swinging from electrical wires, and nope, there's no chance of getting them back. This is quite possibly one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen in my life. And I mean I’m biased because I want to take KIMBRA as my wife (I have a free pass! I can wine and dine her for real real!). BUT SERIOUSLY, HONESTLY, TRULY this is mesmerising and strangely sensual.

‘Settle Down’ is arguably Kimbra’s best song. It’s certainly got a fantastic film clip, and is a pleasure to listen to. In this Spotify Sesh, she samples her own voice and layers it, creating a rich and resonating sound. Being able to harmonise with yourself on the spot is quite the feat, and it comes out sounding like howling wolves, daydreams, glitter, burning embers and love. Plus look at her dance! Look at the fans’ jaws drop! I can’t do this justice in my description. Please just watch it because she’s brilliant.

“It’s scary doing this kind of stuff by myself.” But Kimbra, you don’t need to be scared because you’re pretty much Australia’s most talented, fashionable and sexy female singer/songwriter. Big call. I’m not afraid to make it.
