Doc Holliday Takes The Shotgun sounds like the first sentence of a crime-fiction novel. With fiery lyrics like these, it very well could be.
Sydney thrashedelic quintet DOC HOLLIDAY TAKES THE SHOTGUN are storming up the Triple J Unearthed indie charts and into your bedroom, naked from the waist down. Yep, these are five guys who show no signs of either slowing down or being gentle.
You may have already seen the infamous ‘Vomit Rainbow’ video when reading about dance-punk outfit Sweet Teeth. That should give you some indication of The Birthday Party-style swagger you’ll come to expect, even crave, from these fellows.
Have you been to a gig where the whole crowd dances a super-sped-up waltz? No? Go see Doc Holliday Takes The Shotgun. Watch their fans do more than just mosh, they dance like the world is ending, which, who knows - if their lyrics are anything to go by- it might be. Just remember to wear comfortable shoes. Have another drink, it’s going to be an outrageous night.

They’ve been teasing us with track-by-measly-track from their forthcoming EP, Boot Hill. This is the latest instalment, ‘Gutter Garter.’ True to form, the song features fierce vocals, sharp lyricism and brutal guitar reverb.
