Touring the US via train sounds like something out of the old west - hitching a ride on vintage railcars is not just for the homeless.

Touring America via train sounds like something out of the old west, but it seems hitching a ride on vintage railcars is not just for the homeless. EDWARD SHARPE & THE MAGNETICS ZEROS, OLD MEDICINE CROW and MUMFORD & SONS did just that last year on their 'Railroad Revival Tour', travelling from the massive rail yards of Oakland to the jazz scene of New Orleans, stopping throughout to play sold out gigs.

Reminiscent of 'The Festival Express' that featured Janis Joplin, The Band and The Grateful Dead, 'Big Easy Express' is a documentary about the three band’s railroad tour across the US of A, with viewers treated to a behind-the-scenes look at life on the road. As they make routine stops along the way playing to rapturous crowds, the film captures all the laughs, musical performances and magic moments experienced by the trio. It’s like the 60’s never stopped.
