LISTEN: Panama ‘Magic’

Sydney dudes PANAMA have released ‘Magic,’ a track that sounds as though it was produced on some mysterious tropical island, but underwater. From those opening synths you know this track is going to make you feel a little bit happy inside. There’s also those marimbas, that steady drum groove and the Bag Raiders-esque sound that hit you during the chorus.

Panama started off as the brainchild of Jarrah McCleary, lead singer of the recently defunct The Dirty Secrets. With his former band calling it quits, Jarrah joined forces with ex-bandmate Cam Edwards and started Panama. Now a pretty strong five-piece, the guys headed over to LA to record their first full-length release with the help of Eric Broucek (DFA). The album is due out later this year and will feature this sweet little track.

The track has also been remixed by MIDNIGHT MAGIC and featured on Filter Magazine in The States. Check it out HERE.
