Live Review: LISTEN: Bag Raiders 'January 2012 Mixtape'

BAG RAIDERS have put out the first installment in what is looking to be a 2012 monthly mixtape series. What we're hearing here is a considerable amount deeper than any of the poppy disco-house the Sydney duo have released over the course of their career. It's all sounding very chilled out and maybe even a bit too serious.

Heres what the guys had to say about their new mixtape project

"Seeing as the world is about to end, we've decided the time is right to do a year of monthly mixes. 2012 lookout! The mixes will chart our musical tastes as they follow the trends from deep house to trancehall, 2-step and beyond. yes, it's been done before, but not by us! Towards the end of the year you might even find some advance tastes and sneak peaks of tracks we're working on for our second album, due some time shortly after the apocalypse."

Going by their short description we should be looking at a new album from BAG RAIDERS in 2013.
