Death Cab For Cutie Australian Tour 2012

Seattle's Death Cab For Cutie have announced that they will packing up their plaid shirts and melancholy into a suitcase and heading over here in February 2012 for an Australian Tour.  Their 2011 album Codes And Keys will mean they will have an arsenal of new material, but we also look forward to all the tunes that sold out their last Australian tour back in 2009.

It's easy to see why Death Cab have such a loyal following, each album expands on the last but they still maintains the simple idiosyncrasies that make make them who they are; effortless melodies, breezy choruses over intricate guitars and Gibbard's talent for writing.   With Death Cab For Cutie being many people's soundtrack to heartbreak and wallowing it will be interesting to see where the now recently divorced Gibbard takes us.
