Miami Horror at Last Night Sydney

It’s gonna be a freaking massive one at LAST NIGHT on July 15^th. Not only do we have Brisbane’s very own, superbly talented and blogged-about-incessantly BALL PARK MUSIC kicking off their national tour, but we’ve wrangled a late night DJ set out of the MIAMI HORROR DJs, so saddle up bitches – this is going to be HUGE!

Fresh off international touring duty, BALL PARK MUSIC kick off their very first Aussie headline tour, How I Met Ball Park Music, at LAST NIGHT. BPM write the most deliciously catchy pop songs and with hilarious lyrics like “I haven’t had a friend in years, I only have sex with myself’ we predict some of the most memorable, if not awkward, sing-a-longs of all time.

Along for the ride are Adelaide four piece CITY RIOTS. These boys have already clocked up plenty of cred touring the States as part of SXSW’s Aussie BBQ’s - playing LA, NYC and Austin, AND were the only Australian band to play Filter Mag’s Culture Collide with The Black Lips and Klaxons. Well hello sunshine!

First up, we’ve called in Sydney outfit SEA LEGS to open proceedings. With their penchant for facial hair, xylophones and autumn leaves, we expect an obstacle course of swooners littering the Last Night dance floor – so watch your step!

And as if it wasn’t enough to have PhDJ, RANDALL STAGG and COUNT EFFECTZ behind the turntables, we’ve brought the MIAMI HORROR DJs in to play a very special guest DJ set as well. Their Sydney show has completely sold out - so luckily for you, just before Melbourne’s favourite indie-electronic adventurers relocate to the states, we’ve snatched them from their Summer Sun national tour to come down and blow your little disco-socks off.

PLUS! We’re bringing back cult-fave SNEAKERS CLASSICS upstairs in the Glass Room. M.I.T will be reliving the golden years of indie-anthems and dirty sofas – when we absent-mindedly moshed to Pulp and spilt our beers down our shirts. Let’s do it all again, and this time perhaps take all our clothes off and play Street Fighter?
