Live Review: VIDEO: Battles + The Blogotheque

The French team at La Blogotheque have an amazing history of pairing beautiful live music in equally stunning visuals with their ‘Take Away Shows’.  Recently they embarked on what they called one of their biggest challenges; capturing New York three piece Battles in the historic surroundings of the Salon Georges Bertrand in Paris’ Hôtel de Ville.

La Blogotheque planned to film Battles in a warehouse type space which seemed appropriate paired their angular but instead settled on the complete opposite.   The band performed Wall Street and Futura in their majestic surroundings with five cameras capturing every second of action and no audience, their only comfort seemed to be a fitting glass of wine.

Battled album Gloss Drop is due out this Friday 3^rd June through Interia.
