The Brisbane Heat's highly anticipated annual event, the New Year's Bash, is set to make a triumphant return to The Gabba on 1 January.

Cricket enthusiasts and music lovers alike are eagerly awaiting this marquee fixture, where the Heat will go head-to-head against their rivals, the Sydney Sixers, in the men’s KFC Big Bash League competition.

Adding a musical flair to the excitement, LA-based electronic pop music sensation PNAU will take the stage to headline the StreetSmarts Innings Break Show. Known for their chart-topping dance hits like Go Bang and Chameleon, as well as their award-winning remix of ‘Cold Heart featuring Elton John and Dua Lipa, PNAU is bound to bring a banger of a performance.

Indie pop singer Eves Karydas will kick off the festivities with a pre-game show at sunset, setting the stage for a memorable night.

This lineup comes as the Brisbane Heat announces a partnership with Queensland Music Trails, who will play a pivotal role in bringing this major event to life as the New Year’s Bash Presenting Partner.

Brisbane Heat's General Manager of Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Pete Lock, said the purpose of the New Year's Bash was to provide fans with a "summer music festival" experience while enjoying the excitement of a Big Bash match during the most thrilling time of the year.

"Securing PNAU as our New Year's Bash headliner and featuring Queensland's own Eves Karydas as our pre-game performer is a significant victory for the Brisbane Heat and our fanbase,” Lock said.

"Last year's event, which featured Peking Duk, was a resounding success for the club both on and off the field. It marked our highest attendance in three years, with broadcast ratings reaching unprecedented heights. The Heat achieved a critical win against the Sixers, resulting in the club's highest-ever run total of 225. The live entertainment and the energy from the enthusiastic home crowd undoubtedly motivated our players on the pitch."

Early Bird tickets for the New Year’s Bash are already available for purchase via Ticketek, with prices starting at just $8 for kids and $22 for adults.

Early Bird pricing will be in effect until 24 October, so fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early for what promises to be an unforgettable start to the year, blending the magic of cricket with the pulsating beats of PNAU and Eves Karydas.
