Sydney kid contributing and interning at Purple Sneakers. I love singing along to music, but I rarely consider getting the words right or even close, I instead let my dancing interpret the music. Keenly interested in art, music and culture, great distractions from the nightmare of partaking in a creative arts uni degree. WEBSITE TWITTER

Growing up in a rural town in Tajikistan, I first discovered my love for music playing in a glam-bourine band called the Prosti-Dudes. Angelina flew me to Los Angeles where I opened an organic foods store and began playing the lute. Purple Sneakers were kind enough to hire me as part of their ‘Foster a Molester’ campaign and I have enjoyed the opportunity to write and contribute to their website. FACEBOOK

An aspiring hippie, I’m growing my hair long and washing it much less. I still buy CDs and write cards to tell people I’m thinking of them. My Gran loves it. I live off strong coffee, fresh city air, as much sunshine as my traumatised skin cells can take and excellent music. I love a good tweet, and definitely don’t bite, so tweet at me y’all. I’ve been contributing to Purple Sneakers for about a month now and am loving it. It’s just a cool ‘place’ to be around. I love writing about music (new and old), but my (true) love is film. In all honesty, there isn’t much to say about me yet. Hi, my name is Maddie and I’m from Hobart, Tasmania, where the music scene is as fiercely loyal as it is bitchy. I’m probably the palest person you will ever see, or want to see. What other useless facts can I tell you? I spend too much time in record stores to be considered normal, I spend way too much time reading and my hair flips out on the sides in a pippi longstockings-esque way when it’s dry, generally after I leave the house and can’t do anything about it.
