Gold Coast's San Mei has announced her signing to etcetc and is celebrating it with a new single and a national tour for later this year.

It's been a busy week for the Gold Coast's SAN MEI. She's unveiled her new single, 'Something Good', announced the news that she's signing to etcetc AND announced a national tour in support of the single too.

Extracting a similar mood to the Arctic Monkeys' record AM, 'Something Good' is all about the soaring guitars, driving percussion and San Mei's signature dreamy voice topping it all off.

“I wrote Something Good when I had a sort of revelation about a situation in my life where I was fully taking things for granted and not recognising that I had something really special in front of me,” she said. “It's about the beauty of hindsight and hoping that I'd woken up in time to rescue this thing and let it grow into something beautiful.”

It's been a huge year for San Mei already. She headed to SXSW earlier in the year to perform nine shows, just wrapped up supporting Jack River across the country, is currently supporting K.Flay and will support Ali Barter later in the year too.

'Something Good' marks a new era for San Mei, with a newly minted signing and a bright future ahead. Her sound is continually evolving and it's exciting to see that she's honing in on this fine balance between alt-rock, electronic and pop, it's an exciting mix to hear.
