Boo Seeka let us in on the essentials they'll be taking on tour with them this June

3 May 2019 | 12:00 pm | Caitlin Medcalf

With a huge tour announcement squared away, the boys of BOO SEEKA are absolutely not slowing down in the wake of their month long round trip around the country. In fact, they're gearing us up for what's to be a stellar run of shows with a new track to tide us over.

'Millennium Drive' is a rarity. Rather than spending months on a track to get it to where it needs to be, this one came together in just 15 minutes. It sees the beat makers pack one hell of a punch from start to finish, giving us a Prodigy inspired drum and bass frenzy that feels like a huge sigh of relief for the band.

"'Millennium Drive' is a song written off a release of frustration. BOO wrote the track as if he put on a pair of boxing gloves and let loose on the heavy bag," the band say. The track takes us on a winding journey through aptly sonic highways, inspired by the legacy left by Keith Flint himself.

Ahead of the tour, we asked the pair for a rundown of some of the things they can't live without whilst on tour. These are Boo Seeka's tour essentials.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sunnies
Day or night, the right pair of sunnies can enhance any situation. Whether you're playing a festival set after your 4am bender the night before and need to stop that glare or you've got a camera in your face shooting content, sunnies keep you safe AND keep you looking the part. Mikey wears the Epokhe 'Valentines'.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

SD Cards

These little bad boys house all of Boo's sample tracks, demo tracks and late night recordings through the computer. Mikey runs the whole live show through triggers and sample sounds off one of these.

There are always several cards flying around each night on tour.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wallet
Since the dawn of time, Boo has lost his wallet every tour we go on. The wine rushes to his head and that thing gets thrown out a bar door somewhere. Mikey is the smart one and now is in charge of carrying both band eftpos cards, any room keys, the SD cards and both ID's. The go to is the medium size from Status Society.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Face Cream

There is no way that we can both look this good after some of the travels we do without a good face cream. This cream acts as a helper before we go to bed and when we wake up. No more dark eye circles, no more dry skin and when we get photo's with the fans, we know they can feel the difference. Aesop's 'In Two Minds' cream is the best yet.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Beanie
We all know what Boo's hair looks like and to get that thing to stay calm is as simple as popping a beanie on his damp hair each morning. That head can get a fun smell about it too so it serves as a killer cover-up too. Mikey's receding hairline appreciates it also. AS Colour has several beanies we switch between.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oversized long sleeve white top

Whether you're repping your skinny black jeans, your denim shorts and socks or your jocks for a sauna, a long sleeve white tee is the essential top to go with any outfit. The bigger the better BUT, don't think it's going to last your whole tour - pack multiple, they get filthy!

The AS Colour base long sleeve tee is the go to - Boo wears an XL and Mikey wears the 3XL!

Cologne

No matter how sweaty, how dirty or how messy you get, the right cologne can get you past an obstacle.

Versace 'Blue' for Mikey, CK1 for Boo.
